Dark Souls Director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, doesn’t believe that somebody really managed to beat the original Dark Souls without taking a single hit.
A Twitch streamer named The_Happy_Hobbit recently posted a video over four hours long which showed a playthrough of Dark Souls completed without taking a single hit. Miyazaki just isn’t having it.
Speaking to Wired, Miyazaki said: “I don’t believe the player who says he completed the original Dark Souls without taking a hit — it would be amazing but I think it’s just an elaborate rumor!
“Some of the stuff the community has done, collaborating on Twitch, or playing with Guitar Hero controllers, is incredible though,” he continued. “I’ve been very happy to see that kind of creativity. I don’t think I’d ever put in trophies or anything to instigate a particularly strange play style though.”
The video does indeed seem to show a player doing just that but you can check it out for yourself to make sure.
Dark Souls 3 has recently been released in Japan and is due to be released in the West on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 12. Some people will undoubtedly try and beat that without taking a hit.
