PlayStation VR meets PC?

PlayStation VR may one day support PC use, according to an interview with Sony executive Masayasu Ito and Japanese newspaper Nikkei (translated by SegmentNext). Because the PlayStation VR runs on PC-like tech, it may be possible for it to work on PCs.

“Since PlayStation 4 shares a lot of its internals with PCs, the possibility is there,” Ito said.

This is certainly not a confirmation that it will definitely happen, but it seems Sony has considered the idea. Ito was also keen to stress that Sony’s number one priority right now for VR is the games.

“At the moment we are focused on games and we are not ready to make any announcements at this stage, but I’d say there will be an expansion into various fields.”

PlayStation VR is set to launch in October with a price of $400 which doesn’t include the PlayStation Camera which is also needed. A Launch Bundle was announced, however, which included the headset, camera, two PlayStation Move controllers and PlayStation VR Worlds.
