Revisiting Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow on 3DS is already a great nostalgia trip, but there’s a way to make the experience even more authentic. Thanks to the magic of emulation, the Nintendo 3DS can display these games in native Game Boy resolution, complete with green tint.
This feature can be activated on all Game Boy or Game Boy Color titles on 3DS. Holding Start or Select while the game boots up changes the resolution and adds a Game Boy border. Holding L+R and pressing Y will simplify the colors to the classic Game Boy green tint.
