“I don’t think there’s a better time to buy into PlayStation – PS4 particularly,” Denny said to GamesIndustry.biz at Paris Games Week. “Our installed base now is well over 25 million. That gives us a massive community of gamers, supported by a lot of new community features. We’ve got great games out there, more coming through. We’re looking forward to 2016, it’s an exciting time.”

Sony will no doubt be pretty pleased with how the PlayStation 4 is doing but it looks like they’re eager to keep pushing. Last week, Sony officially reduced the price of the PlayStation 4 500GB console and is also planning to release Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Star Wars Battlefront themed PS4’s next month. No doubt many people will be tempted by the PS4 this Holiday season.

Meanwhile, the PS4’s main rival, the Xbox One hasn’t had a figures update since November 2014 when it was revealed that the console had shipped almost 10 million units.
