Destiny: Xur’s Location and Exotics List For September 18-20

He's back.

This week, Destiny: The Taken King was finally released on all major consoles. Later today, at 1:OOPM EST, we will see the release of the Destiny: The Taken King, King’s Fall raid. In order to prepare for this heightened challenge, many guardians will be looking froward to see Destiny’s favorite black market exotics dealer, Xur, agent of the nine. Hopefully, he’ll have the weapons, armor, and curious that will prepare us for slaying Oryx. What are we talking about? Of course he brought some awesome year two exotic gear. He’s Xur. His will isn’t even his own. This is what the guy lives for. But there is one change we weren’t expecting. You won’t be needing your motes of light.

Wait a second. You’re probably wondering where Xur is, aren’t you?  Okay, we’ll tell you. He’s waiting for you at the Tower. He’s on the left side of the map standing in between the guardian outfitter and the Speaker. Without further discussion, Let’s take a look at Xur’s first Destiny: The Taken King year two inventory:

Xur Destiny Location and Exotics The Taken King September 18-20

Up first, for Titans, Xur is selling the flashy Insurmountable Skullfort which is good for melee attacks.

  • Defense: 280
  • Strength: 63/78
  • Gain an additional melee charge.
  • Gain bonus Super energy from melee kills on minions of the Darkness.
  • Gain bonus melee energy on orb pickups.

For Hunters, Xur is selling the explosive Young Ahamkara’s Spine which is useful for an extra Tripmine grenade charge.

  • Defense: 280
  • Discipline: 32/45  Strength: 27/40
  • Increased Tripmine Grenade duration. Gain an additional Tripmine Grenade charge.
  • Increased reload speed with hand cannons.
  • Increased grenade throw distance.

For Warlocks, Xur is selling The Impossible Machines which are some sweet new Taken King Stormcaller gauntlets.

  • Defense: 280
  • Discipline: 50/63
  • Grants Landfall.
  • Increase melee attack speed.
  • Increase reload speed with Pulse Rifles.

Xur has no featured exotic weapon this week but is instead carrying an Exotic Heavy Weapon Legacy Engram. According to Bungie:

These Engrams contain Year One Exotics (at Year One Attack and Defense levels) for players who want to finish up a Collection. They strongly bias towards Exotics not already in your Blueprint Collection, to help fill in the blank slots – excluding Mythoclast and Necrochasm, which are still only available from their Year One sources.

In addition to the above, Xur is selling an exotic helmet engram along with the curios of plasma drive, emerald coil, heavy ammo synthesis, and his new item, three of coins. No telemetry this week. No exotic shards. And you may notice the heavy ammo has still been reduced from 5 to 3. This is probably the new year two number. You can also exchange strange coins for motes of light if you wish. But we’re not sure why you would want to do that now that Xur doesn’t seem to be accepting them as a currency anymore.
