Konami to Close Down 31 Japanese Mobile Games in September

Hope you're not a Japanese mobile gamer.

Ever since Konami announced that they were moving away from AAA games, everything they do seems to leave a sour taste in gamers’ mouths. Well, don’t expect that to change with this article because Inside Games has revealed that Konami will be closing 31 Japanese mobile games starting Sept 10.

Along with closing down these games, Konami has also warned users that plan to download these games that they won’t support iOS 9 or later versions. On the plus side, Kantan Games has noted that Konami aren’t closing down the English versions of these games so those of you playing Metal Gear Solid Touch are safe for now.

It should also be noted that while Konami are closing down 31 games, they aren’t touching any of their Free-to-Play titles.

Here is the list of all 31 games translated by Kantan Games that Konami are shutting down:

This isn’t the only sad news regarding Konami as of late. Last month, they just up and axed Kojima’s name from Metal Gear Solid V’s box art outta nowhere. We quickly rectified that, but we can’t really do that with this. What do you think about Konami’s latest decision? Let us know in the comments below.
