Final Fantasy XII Remake Never Existed and Music Director Apologizes to Fans for Concert Comment

It was just a mistake after all.

Producer and Music Director of Distant Worlds, Arnie Roth, has said during the Final Fantasy music concert that was held on Saturday in Pittsburgh that there is a Final Fantasy XII Remake coming soon. Now he sends a letter to all fans explaining this comment and that it was just a mistake.

The term “remake” was apparently used wrong since all this was about a new concert featuring music from Final Fantasy XII.

Dear friends,

In response to comments posted by fans, I want to rectify a statement made from the stage Saturday night at our Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY concert in Pittsburgh.

Following conversations with composer Hitoshi Sakimoto regarding new concert arrangements of music from FINAL FANTASY XII, regrettably, the term ‘remake’ was used in error during one of the announcements that took place from the stage during the concert.

We sincerely regret any confusion this has caused.

The letter came through the Distant Worlds Facebook account. Now our chance of seeing an actual Final Fantasy XII Remake may have diminished but keep your hopes up, you never know what’s coming.
