UPDATE: Street Fighter V Beta Goes Offline Due To Pressure By Players

Street Fighter V's Beta Couldn't Take It.

Capcom’s anticipated fighting game, Street Fighter V, had launched its beta phase on PS4 last night and it’s already gone offline due to the overload and pressure on the servers caused by the number of players.

Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono and the Street Fighter twitter accounts have been tweeting about extending the maintenance schedule and Ono is apologizing to players for the inconvenience.

They have said they are trying their best to get the Street Fighter V Beta back up and running in no time and they will extend the Beta’s duration to make up for the time it was down for maintenance.

UPDATE: Capcom UK just released a statement suspending the beta indefinitely with no date of when will it be back up again.

We apologise for the ongoing issues that users have been experiencing with the SFV beta test. In order to allow us to fix the issues as quickly as possible, we are going to initiate a period of extended maintenance, during which time the beta will be unavailable to all users.

We will let you know the date on which the closed beta test will re-open once all problems have been fixed. We sincerely apologise for having to bring this unfortunate news to you. Thank you for your patience. Please stay tuned for further updates.
