Titanic: Honor & Glory Looks to Recreate the Authenticy of the Sinking Ship

Currently in the campaigning phase for the game, developers at Four Funnels are looking to recreate the Titanic's historical dive into the Atlantic Ocean.

Being developed by Four Funnels entertainment, Titanic: Honor & Glory is a unique PC project that explores what it was like to be on the historical ship as it plunged into the cold depths of the North Atlantic Ocean back in 1912.

While the grand aspect of the game is to allow players to experience what it was like to be on the ship while it sank in real-time, Honor & Glory‘s mysterious narrative tells the story of a man trying to clear his name after being accused of stealing jewels from the British museum. While the ship is sinking, it is up to you to help save yourself and others while looking for the person who framed you, or experience the ship in free mode.

From one end to the other, Four Funnels is looking to recreate the entire ship, bathrooms, linen closets, and all. To make it as realistic as possible, the developers have consulted with Titanic wreck divers, authors, and history professors. As of February 20, the game has entered phase 3 of development and has raised more than $10,000 of their current $250,000 campaign goal.

After release, the developers said on their FAQ that the game will support Oculus Rift compatibility to make the experience “as mindblowing as possible.”

As for now, there isn’t an official release date for the title, though Four Funnels is aiming for around 2017.
