Is Five Nights At Freddy's 3 On The Way?

Despite Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 being released just last November, Scott Cawthon may have announced that he is currently developing Five Nights At Freddy’s 3.

The developer’s website, www.scottgames.com, has updated with an image depicting a shadowy face of an animatronic figure with the words “I am still here” hanging in the darkness. Moreover, when one tries to save the image, it initially comes up as fnaf3.jpg. This filename seems to imply that yes, Five Nights At Freddy’s 3 is indeed in the pipeline, much to the chagrin of those still working through their fear of animatronics from the first two games.

The development of the third Five Nights At Freddy’s game seems quick; after all, Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 was released last November, and the original game was released in August, meaning that the entire series thus far has existed for around half a year. However, considering that Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 was met with the same positive reception that the original was by the gaming community at large, it can be safe to say that Five Night’s At Freddy’s 3 will likely not suffer for the short dev time.

No other details about Five Nights At Freddy’s 3 have been released at this time, but considering how all info about Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 was also released through teaser images on Cawthon’s website it would be wise to keep an eye on his site for any upcoming info.

Both Five Nights At Freddy’s and its sequel are currently available for download from Steam for PC and from the iTunes App Store for iOS products.
