Ashika Island is also known as “Isle of the Sea Lion”, and it is described as part of a small archipelago located in an undisclosed location, somewhere in the APAC (Asia Pacific) region.

The island is home to seven points of interest, with one of the seven seeing the return of a fan-favorite map from 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War. Three of the seven have been revealed, with images to keep you up-to-date.

The north part of Ashika Island is home to the agricultural section, where players will find plenty of greenhouses to explore. It’s also home to the island’s old shoreline defense systems that may just be out of service.

Lookout and Ruins

The Comms Tower is over on the far northwest edge of the island and sits on a narrow spit of sand, rocks, and a sea wall. There is extensive rubble nearby as wartime structures undergoing extensive demolition.

North Beach

East of the Water Facility lies the north beach, a shallow sandy beach with half-sunk dolos barriers scattered on the shore.

Residential

As the name implies, Residential is the area to the north of Tsuki Castle, home to a little village. Residential contains a few apartment structures, a power plant, and a water treatment facility, chock full of secrets to discover.

Greenhouses

A huge network of agricultural buildings, including eight greenhouses, are all numbered. There are various crops grown here.

Shipwreck

Shipwreck appears to be a throwback to Call of Duty: World War 2’s Shipment variant, as the perilous weather spelled doom for two tankers. High above the containers, players will find a lookout tower and a gas station.

Port Ashika

The southern part of Ashika Island is home to Port Ashika, home to various warehouses, comms towers, and more. To the north of the port is Tsuki Castle; however, the castle reigns high over the port making the trek perilous.

Beach Club

Make sure to keep your eyes peeled when landing Beach Club, as the cabanas are prone to be home to watchful eyes!

Demolition Site

Sitting nearby the Beach Club is an area obliterated by demolition. It is the remains of a structure, now a half-destroyed collection of concrete and rebar. In the distance, you can see the pathways here to the Town Hall and up to the Castle.

Town Center

Town Center looks to be a mixture of close and long-range engagements, as players will find themselves in the heat of battle at a moment’s notice. It bears an eerie similarity to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Retreat map.

Gas Station

Sitting at a strategically important intersection, this small gas station offers all the vehicle-repairing and refueling capabilities. It servers as a hub to gain access to useful roadways around the island.

Tsuki Castle

Eagle-eyed viewers and World at War veterans will be delighted to see the return of Castle from 2008. Interestingly enough, the rumor mill pointed to the map joining the multiplayer portion, but it seems that has been revealed to be not true, with it being a POI in Warzone and DMZ.

Main Castle Stronghold

The ancient walls of the castle have all manner of different nooks and crannies to explore and hide in. There’s a moat, too, which is peppered with recent battle scars that offer access into the bailey area, leading to an inner walled “dojo” courtyard and adjacent structure with a radar trailer.

It’s also important to note; High Moon Studios is developing this map, which is also the same team behind Fortune’s Keep.
