How to Inspect a Weapon in Modern Warfare 2 (2022)

To inspect your equipped weapon, press and hold left on the d-pad when you’re holding it, or press and hold the left directional key on PC.

Doing this will result in you pulling the weapon further away from your body, so you can get a closer look at its side. Your Operator will even pull the clip out, so you can see the ammo inside, before slotting it back into your weapon and loading the chamber.

It’s worth pointing out that if you try and just press left on the d-pad, you’ll simply change the ‘weapon fire’ mode of your weapon (if it has one). As such, make sure you’re pressing and holding the button until the animation begins in order to get it to work.

You can inspect any weapon you have in your loadout and currently equipped. For example, if you wanted to see what your pistol or other secondary weapon looked like under a close examination, you can switch to it and then press and hold left on the d-pad again.

It’s a really simple process, but one that you wouldn’t know about if you didn’t know where to look. So hopefully, we’ve helped you out here! Now you can admire those gold weapon camos you’ve spent so long grinding out.

Just like that, you’re now all set to inspect weapons in Modern Warfare 2 and admire them in all their shiny, glitzy glory. For more on the game, be sure to check out the links below.
