One of the many themes that run through Game of Thrones’ fantasy world is sex, and while the penultimate episode of HBO’s spin-off series doesn’t have any full on nudity per se, there is a surprisingly uncomfortable scene that errs on the erotic side. For those who’ve arrived here, you’re probably wondering why does Alicent show her feet in House of the Dragon?

Before we get any further, just a quick spoiler warning for those who are yet to watch episode 9 of House of the Dragon. Still here? Well, then, let’s get into it, shall we?

Why Does Alicent Show Her Feet to Larys in House of the Dragon? Answered

During the latter half of episode 9, we witness a rather uncomfortable scene between Larys – the new head of House Strong, who had his family murdered in his bid to get closer to the inner royal circle – and Queen Alicent.

While Larys is sharing information about a web of spies in the Red Keep, the Queen quietly takes off her shoes and stockings and places her naked feet on the table in front of the man, widely known in-universe as Clubfoot. It quickly becomes clear that Larys is, well, um… pleasuring himself while the Queen shows off her dainty tootsies. Needless to say, Larys seems to have a foot fetish.

Of course, this scene establishes an important fact: Queen Alicent has been trading secret information with Larys in exchange for sexual favors. As a result, we can infer that this is not the first time that Alicent has had to stoop so low in order to gain insight into the inner workings of the many spies within King’s Landing and the Seven Kingdoms as a whole.

So, there you have it. Hopefully this helped to clue you in on why Alicent shows her feet in House of the Dragon. For more on the popular show, here’s a guide discussing what the beast beneath the boards is, why Criston killed Lord Beesbury, and is Mysaria dead in House of the Dragon.
