Can You Pacifist Playthrough in A Plague Tale Requiem

A Plague Tale: Innocence defined itself not only through its superb storytelling but also the nature of its stealth experience. It wasn’t a game about sneaking around and taking enemies out but avoiding them. Amicia and Hugo felt vulnerable, and the excitement of the gameplay partly revolved around that sense of fear as a result of that. For the sequel, though, things are a bit different. Here’s what you need to know about whether you can do a pacifist playthrough in A Plague Tale: Requiem.

Is There a Pacifist Playthrough Path in A Plague Tale Requiem? Answered

Unfortunately, the answer is no. Whereas the original game provided more tools for getting through the story without shedding blood, A Plague Tale Requiem is more inclined to push players toward violent confrontations for narrative purposes.

Of course, you can still get through most of the game without killing enemies, but there are several more segments where you’ll need to kill people in order to progress compared to the first game.

For some, the fact that you can still avoid having to kill most enemies will still count as technically a pacifist playthrough, but others will perhaps be disappointed to learn that Amicia does quite a bit of killing this time around.

Generally speaking, A Plague Tale Requiem’s expanded gameplay mechanics feel as though they’re geared to allow players to be more aggressive this time around.

Whether that’s how you want to play personally is more or less up to you, but don’t expect to get through the game without slaughtering a few soldiers and antagonists along the way.

That should be everything you need to know about whether you can do a pacifist playthrough in A Plague Tale Requiem. For more useful tips and guides on the game, search Twinfinite or check out the related content listed below.
