Leveling up in Splatoon 3 will unlock shops, weapons, and give you plenty of goodies that make the grind well worth the trouble. Of course, it’s a process that starts to slow down as you level up because you require more experience points for each consecutive level. You can only earn experience to level up in Splatoon 3 in Turf Wars or Anarchy Battles. You will get a bonus for winning a round, but outside of that, you can actually give yourself a boost that will increase the experience points you get for every battle.

Using food and drink tickets at the concession stand in the lobby adds bonuses that will increase either the money or experience you earn for the next 20 rounds. Here is how to use them and level up quickly in Splatoon 3.

  1. Enter the Lobby

    Either walk to the lobby or press X to open the map and choose Lobby.

  2. Go to the Concession Stand

    Once in the Lobby, the concession stand is situated to the right of where you’re standing. It’s the window to the right of the Shell-Out Machine.

  3. Eat Some Food

    The Pescatariat, The Pescatariat Royale, and the Marigold’en Garden Greens will give you XP bonuses for 20 rounds each.

Note, you will need food or drink tickets in order to use access these bonuses. Each of the food items have slightly different effects, but they are all going to let you level up much faster than normal. Here is the effect each of these has on your character:

  • The Pescatariat: Increases XP by 50%
  • The Pescatariat Royale: Doubles battle XP
  • Marigold’en Garden Greens: Doubles battle XP for all teammates

Leveling up is required to access a lot of the games other features. You have to reach certain levels to unlock shops, table turf, and even Anarchy Mode if you haven’t yet. New players who didn’t import data from Splatoon 2 will have to reach level 10 in order to compete in Anarchy Battles.
