Starshroooms were first added to Genshin Impact back in Update 2.6. They can be found in The Chasm’s Underground Mine, which is an area that you’ll only be able to venture to after having completed The Chasm Delvers World. For those who haven’t, that particular questline can be activated by speaking with Lan, who’s found beside Katheryne in Liyue.

The Underground Mines are full of Starshrooms, which emit a feint blue glow in comparison to other fungi. They’re fairly easy to spot, though navigating the area itself is a bit tricky given the difficulty level of the many enemies who roam it. Keep in mind you don’t actually have to engage in combat, however; just avoid contact as best you can and quickly farm as many Starshrooms as necessary.

What Starshrooms Do in Genshin Impact

Starshrooms are primarily used to complete quests, such as the World Quest “Mycological Investigation in The Chasm,” given by Khedive. This will task you with finding eight Starshrooms in exchange for XP, Primogems, and Mora.

As a consumable, Starshrooms recover 300 HP. Picking up a Starshroom will also recharge one Energy for the Lumenstone Adjuvant gadget, helping you to see in the dark as you navigate the mines.
