In their latest “This Week At Bungie” post, Bungie recently revealed the next set of Artifact Mods for Season 18 of Destiny 2. So today, let’s discuss What Lightning Strikes Twice does in Destiny 2.

What Does Lightning Strike Twice Do In Destiny 2?

Lightning Strikes Twice is a Seasonal Artifact Mod attached to your class item slot. It states: “After throwing an Arc grenade, gain increased grenade recharge for a short time. Arc final blows extend the duration of this benefit.” As stated before, this mod has not been featured in the seasonal Artifact since all the way back in Season 10, which was over two years ago.

Bringing it back now was a great choice, considering the upcoming Arc 3.0 revamp in Season 18. If used correctly, you could potentially throw an infinite amount of Arc grenades at your enemies. But we’ll save the build-crafting for a future post once Arc 3.0 is fully released.

How Do You Obtain Lightning Strikes Twice?

Similar to all other Artifact Mods, there will be only one way to obtain Lightning Strikes Twice: by gaining XP. Lightning Strikes Twice sits in the final column of the Artifact Mod list, which means you’ll need to get all the other mods before obtaining it. Remember that other excellent Arc 3.0 mods, such as Thunderous Retort, which increases your Arc Super damage by 30% while amplified, also sits in the final column with Lightning Strikes Twice. The mode you play or the build you craft could determine which mod you select first.

What Is The Fastest Way To Gain XP In Destiny 2?

Players gain XP naturally by simply playing the game, no matter the activity they choose. However, if you’re looking for those significant boosts of XP to help you obtain those Artifact Mods faster, then bounties are the way to go. Daily Bounties give 6,000 XP, repeatable bounties give 4,000, and weekly bounties give 12,000. Therefore, doing as many daily bounties on top of your weekly bounties will help you gain XP quickly.

That’s all for now. Season 18 officially goes live on Aug 23, right after the Destiny 2 2022 Showcase. For more related info and other Destiny 2 news, including frequent updates of what’s coming in the universe, check our related articles below.
