After several hours of server maintenance, the Genshin Impact 3.0 update is live across all the platforms. Apart from the new 5-star Dendro character, the most notable change of the latest version is the new region called Sumeru. Unlike The Chasm, the land of Sumeru is full of green plants and natural habitat, giving forest-type vibes to travelers. If you haven’t explored this new region, here’s an essential guide to reaching Sumeru in Genshin Impact.
How To Unlock Sumeru Region in Genshin Impact
The new Sumeru region is in the west of The Chasm. So players need to unlock this region first in Genshin Impact in order to proceed. After that, follow these steps to reach Sumeru in Genshin Impact:
- Teleport to The Chasm, Liyue Waypoint.
The first step is to fast travel to The Chasm using the Statues of The Seven – Geo Waypoint, located near the Cinnabar place.
- Unlock the new Teleport Waypoint.
Genshin Impact developers have added a new teleport waypoint with the 3.0 update, which allows you to access the new region easily. This new waypoint requires you to fall off a cliff. So make sure to choose the appropriate character before proceeding.
- Enter the Cave and discover Four Leaf Sigil.
The cave is right in front of the teleport waypoint we unlocked in the previous step. All you need to do is keep walking straight until you discover the Four Leaf Sigil.
- Continue through the forest to reach Sumeru.
After reaching the destination, the game will show you a cutscene. Following several dialogues, a new storyline quest called Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark will be activated.
- Unlock the Sumeru teleport waypoint.
Before you leave the region, make sure you unlock the Sumeru’s teleport waypoint called Statue of the Seven to fully unlock the region. This teleport waypoint can be found on top of the mountain, located right in front of your position.
