How Many Seasons Will House of the Dragon Have?

House of the Dragon doesn’t actually have a set number of seasons that it’s due to run for; there’s nothing yet confirmed. That being said, however, in a report from the Holywood Reporter, co-showrunner Miguel Sapochnik explained the show was conceptualized as a three to four season affair. That said, the article also highlights that there’s more than enough room to expand even beyond that.

“The Targaryens span both directions [forward and backward in the timeline],” Sapochnik said. “So as a spine to other possible stories and spinoffs … this [House of the Dragon] is a great place to start.”

Considering the second season’s confirmation and the renewed hype around the world of Westeros, we feel it’s safe to say the co-showrunner will probably get their three or four seasons of House of the Dragon. We already can’t wait for the second!

That’s everything you need to know about how many seasons there will be of House of the Dragon. For more useful tips and guides on the show, such as whether Emilia Clarke is set to reprise her role, search Twinfinite or check out some the related content below.
