As the name implies, this is an instanced area that you can shape however you see fit. You’ll be able to collect resources and materials, grow crops, build various structures, and even produce goods and sell them for rewards. As if this giant MMO needed even more in-depth side activities to get into.

Getting to Island Sanctuary in FFXIV

First off, Island Sanctuary is only available to players who have purchased the Endwalker expansion. In addition to that, even if you do have Endwalker, you’ll also need to see the story through to its completion and beat the final expansion MSQ, titled “Endwalker”.

Once you’ve done this and rolled credits, head to Old Sharlayan and speak with the Clueless Crier NPC located at X:11.9, Y:11. This will start a new quest titled “Seeking Sanctuary” and you’ll be led on a new journey to your Island Sanctuary and get things started there.

After completing this short quest, you can access your Island Sanctuary by speaking to Baldin at Lower La Noscea, at the coordinates X:24.9, Y:34.8.

And that’s pretty much it. You’ll then be able to travel back and forth between the mainland and your Sanctuary by talking to Baldin. With how much there is to do in Sanctuary, we definitely recommend checking back in every once in a while, in between your daily grind.

That’s all you need to know about how to get to Island Sanctuary in FFXIV. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
