Players can now hop in and check out the MultiVersus open beta, giving them full access to the whole game. In this guide, we’ll explain everything you need to know about signing up for the MultiVersus open beta so you can see how Tom and Jerry fare against Scooby Doo’s Shaggy, Batman or Bugs Bunny.

How to Play Multiversus Beta

There are currently two ways you can get access to the Multiversus beta. These are by getting a Twitch drop, or by purchasing one of the Founder’s Packs. We’ve outlined the process of doing each of these methods below:

Get Beta Access with a Founder’s Pack

The easiest way is to just purchase a Founder’s Pack, but this does require you to spend your hard-earned cash on what is essentially a free-to-play games.

Get MultiVersus Open Beta Access via a Twitch Drop

  1. Sign into your WB Games Account to connect and link your Twitch account.
  2. Watch any Twitch streamer play MultiVersus who has drops enabled for 60 minutes to earn Early Access to the Open Beta. (This is currently only available from July 19, 9am PT, to July 26, 9am PT).
  3. Check on your Twitch Drops progress here. Once it reaches 100% you can claim your Open Beta access.
  4. Go to your WB Games account and claim your Early Access for MultiVersus for the platform of your choice.

How To Download Multiversus on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & PC (Steam)

If you’ve purchased a Founder’s Pack from your preferred platform’s digital store, MultiVersus should begin downloading immediately.

For those that get an open beta code via Twitch Drops, you’ll need to get the code from your WB Games account. Once you’ve got this, simply redeem the code on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Steam account as you would any other redeemed code. This is usually under a ‘Redeem a Code’ option, or on Steam it’s called ‘Activate a game produce code…’

How Long Did the MultiVersus Closed Alpha Run For?

The closed alpha will begun on May 19 at 9a.m. PDT/ 12p.m. EDT/ 5p.m. BST and ended on May 27 at 5p.m. PDT/ 8p.m. EDT/ 1a.m. BST (May 28).
