Decisions, decisions!

The Quarry Should You Break the Fuel Line or Steal the Rotor Arm

In Supermassive Games’ The Quarry, player choices and decisions can change how the game’s events turn out. At pivotal moments in the story, you could be saving or dooming the different counsellors at Hackett’s Quarry on a terrifying night to remember. While you may not necessarily know what might happen in the future, we can lend a hand in that regard. If you are wondering should you break the fuel line or steal the rotor arm when it comes to the van, here’s what you will need to know.

Breaking the Fuel Line or Stealing the Rotor Arm in The Quarry

This decision will come in really early in the game, essentially before everything goes to hell in Chapter 1. As Jacob looking for another shot at reviving a seemingly dead romance with Emma, you as the player will have to decide either to break the fuel line or steal the rotor arm to prevent the van from working.

While this may seem like a decision that has some profound ramifications, it appears not to be. The choice is seemingly arbitrarily based on our experience in the game.

What Happens Next?

Should you choose to steal the rotor arm, Jacob will end up losing it during his dive into the lake with Emma later on. You then have the option of diving in to retrieve it or investigate other events happening at the same time.

Be wary of the obstacles underwater, as that may result in Jacob drowning. However, even if you retrieved it, the rotor arm appears to have no bearing on future events. The crew will still find themselves heading to the Scrapyard to look for a replacement and find themselves in danger once more.

Breaking the fuel line seems to start the same chain of events, albeit without the danger of Jacob drowning. However, we will continue to investigate and update the guide when we know the answers.

That is all there is to it whether should you break the fuel line or steal the rotor arm. Be sure to also check our other helpful guides to help you experience The Quarry fully, or read our full The Quarry Review for the complete Twinfinite verdict.
