Locating the Mangrove Swamp Biome

The only way to find the Mangrove Swamp biome is by exploring the map in the game. Fortunately, there are key features you can search for in this new area. First, players should look out for Mangrove Roots and Mud Blocks. Mangrove Roots’ appearance is a mixture of vines and a tree trunk with a distinct brown color.

Mud Blocks have a similar texture to Coal Blocks, but they are fairly lighter in hue. For a better display of these attributes, you can view them here:

Another swamp characteristic you can keep an eye out for is murky water. With this in mind, players can use Minecraft’s ocean as a guide to this location since water surrounds the biome. Additionally, vines are a great way to discover the Mangrove Swamp, but be aware that the Jungle biomes have this quality as well.

The amphibians lurking inside this area can also be helpful to your quest. The sound of frogs can be heard close by, so be sure to listen carefully. One of the last things to search for is large mushrooms that usually sprout in these environments. Of course, these grow in other biomes, but they can still be a key feature in swamps.
