There are three ways to get Opulent Umbral Energy in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted:

Season Pass

Players can get 21 Opulent Umbrals Energy in total from Season Pass at levels two, 52, 70, and 92. The Season of the Haunted season pass costs 1,000 Silver or approx. US$10 and contains an array of free and premium rewards.

Containment activity

Players will receive seven Opulent Umbral Energy after attaching the nightmares at the end of a Containment activity. For this, they’ll need to deposit 150 Dread Remnants on the Harvester after eliminating the boss at contention level 3.

Opening Chests

One of the lucrative ways to get Opulent Umbral in Destiny 2 is by opening chests. Every time players bind nightmares at the end of the Containment activity, they might receive a Bound Presence which leads to the server mission. After completing the mission, players can open the chest to receive five energy.

Apart from the Opulent Umbral Energy, Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted also brings new seasonal resources such as Vestiges of Dread, Figments of Darkness, and Opulent keys. The grind for the resources seems relatively long this season. Fortunately, players have around three months to farm them.
