Today Nihon Falcom announced that its recent JRPG The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is going to be released for PS5.
The game, originally released only for PS4 in September 2021, will make the jump to the newer PlayStation console in Japan on July 18, 2022.
The PS5 version will be rendered at 4K resolution and will run at 60 FPS. It will also include a high-speed mode that lets you set the speed individually for turn-based and action battles. An “Archive” mode will introduce the story of the previous games of the series and the glossary.
The game will also come with 33 DLC out of the box that were initially sold separately.
Save data transfer from the PS4 version will be available, and an upgrade option to the PS5 version priced at 110 yen (about $1) will also be provided.
Below you can check out a trailer, the first screenshots, and the DLC.
This release will come before the launch of the game’s sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II – Crimson Sin is set to come to Japan in fall 2022 for PS5 and PS4.
At the moment, neither game has been announced for the west. Recently, NIS America revealed plans to localize The Legend of Heroes Trails From Zero, The Legend of Heroes Trails to Azure, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails, and The Legend of Heroes: Trails Into Reverie for PS4, Switch, and PC all the way into 2023, which means that the perspective of playing Kuro no Kiseki in English is unfortunately quite far in the future.
