How to Get Rivers of Blood Katana in Elden Ring

The Rivers of Blood katana is not available early on in the game, and will require some progress towards the endgame before you can obtain it for your arsenal. Just make sure you have not yet defeated the Fire Giant.

  1. Head to the Mountaintops of the Giant region.

  2. Look for the Church of Repose.

    This is to the far south of the region.

  3. Defeat the invader, Bloody Finger Okina.

    Be sure to watch out for bleed damage, so keeping your distance might be the best option.

  4. Claim your rewards.

    Defeating the invader will yield the Rivers of Blood Katana alongside the Okina Mask.

The Rivers of Blood Katana does have some stat requirements for effective use. You will need 12 Strength, 19 Dexterity, and 20 Arcane to use it well. It comes with a bleeding passive, and its skill, Corpse Piler, can be a devasting move if you can chain the strikes for more damage. This katana requires Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade.
