Ghostwire Tokyo is full of supernatural spookiness. Whether it’s the yokai roaming the streets, the fact that Akito is literally carrying the spirit of KK inside him, or the fact the entire population of Tokyo has vanished, the game is oozing with an eerie atmosphere. One of the key benefits of having KK by your side — … inside you? — is Ghostwire Tokyo’s Wire In mechanic, and this guide will explain all you need to know about it.
What Is ’Wire In’?
After you save KK, you’ll unlock a skill called ’Wire In.’
This is an extra powerful mode where KK and Akito are essentially in-sync. When activated, Wire In completely restores SP for Ethereal Weaving and will also unleash a powerful shockwave that will immediately blast away minor enemies, and stun tougher ones.
Because you’re so much more powerful, and time is slowed down considerably when ’Wire In’ is active, it also makes it significantly easier to expose Visitor Cores, which when ripped out of a Visitor, can be used to heal your health. The perfect way to give yourself a much-needed boost during particularly hectic battles.
‘Wiring In’ in Ghostwire Tokyo
To Wire In, press R3 and L3 at the same time when your resonance bar in the bottom right is completely full.
Your resonance bar is filled by killing enemies, so you won’t always be able to start a fight by using Wire In. You’ll have to build up towards it and then unleash it.
Once activated, ’Wire In’ will remain active until the resonance bar is depleted.
That’s everything you need to know on the ’Wire In’ mechanic in Ghostwire Tokyo. If you’re looking for more handy tips and tricks, be sure to check out the links below or search for Twinfinite.
