pokemon legends arceus ice stone

Pokemon Legends Arceus is the latest entry in the popular Pokemon franchise, and it marks a rather radical departure from the typical series formula fans might be used to. The game takes place in the Hisui region, featuring a semi open-world for players to explore as they catch Pokemon and gather resources to craft with. Some series staples do remain intact in this entry, though you might need a little help trying to figure them out. Here’s how to get the Ice Stone in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Getting the Ice Stone in Pokemon Legends Arceus

Just like in past entries in the series, the Ice Stone is an evolution stone that can be used to force a Pokemon to evolve. It can only be used on Ice-type Pokemon, or Pokemon who are able to evolve into an Ice-type form like Eevee and Glaceon.

  1. The easiest way to get the Ice Stone is by purchasing it with Merit Points.

Merit Points are obtained by returning lost satchels, and once you have enough, you can speak with the NPC at the Trading Post in Jubilife Village to purchase special items. The Ice Stone costs 1,000 Merit Points, which means you’ll need to spend some time retrieving and returning satchels if you want to get it this way.pokemon legends arceus ice stone

  2. It’s also possible to purchase one from Ginter.

Ginter is part of the Gingko Guild, and will appear at the Gingko cart outside Galaxy Team HQ in Jubilife Village from time to time. He’ll sell a random special item for 5,000 Poke Dollars, so it’s not guaranteed that he’ll have the Ice Stone when you need it. Check in with him whenever you return to the Village to see what he has for sale.pokemon legends arceus ice stone

  3. Complete the request titled Gone Astray.

After unlocking the Icelands, you can accept a new request there to rescue Zeke from the Avalanche Slopes. Titled Gone Astray, you’ll receive an Ice Stone as a reward for your troubles once you complete this request.

  4. Finally, it’s possible to get an Ice Stone by digging through snow piles.

There are tons of snow piles scattered around the Alabaster Icelands zone. You’ll be able to dig through them by interacting with the piles, and there’s a chance that you can get an Ice Stone by doing this. However, it’s not a guaranteed drop either.

How to Use It

After you’ve gotten your hands on an Ice Stone, using it is as simple as heading into your inventory and selecting it. Press up on the d-pad to bring up your menu, then select it from your inventory by pressing the A button.

After that, select the Pokemon you want to use it on and confirm your selection. The Pokemon will then evolve, and the Stone will be consumed.
