Lost Ark Surpasses 1 Million Concurrent Players on Steam, Less than 24 Hours After Launch

Lost Ark has just gotten its official release in North America and Europe, and it’s certainly been a successful launch to say the least. While the game isn’t without its little flaws and bugs, such as Crystalline Auras not showing up for some players, not to mention the long queue times for a bunch of servers, it’s clear that it’s become one of the most popular multiplayer games out this month.

Announced via press release, the game also surpassed one million concurrent players on Steam within 24 hours of its launch. Here are some of the highlights of its impressive launch week performance:

  • Peak of 1.325 million players in game concurrently worldwide in less than 24 hours after launch, making it the highest-played game in 24 hours, second highest-played game on Steam of all time by concurrent players, and highest-played MMORPG on Steam ever
  • Twitch numbers including 1.2 million concurrent viewers, 59.9 million hours watched, more than 112,000 total streams
  • In just the first three days of launch (as of February 14), Lost Ark has over 4.7 million new registered players in the West, with 55% coming from the Americas and 45% from Europe.

The game released in Korea back in 2019 and continues to be one of the most popular MMORPGs there, and it’s looking like that might be the case in English-speaking territories as well. Lost Ark is now available on PC.
