Techland’s new RPG perhaps isn’t the largest open world you will have played in terms of landmass, but the sheer density and scale of its verticality mean that moving from point to point on foot can take much longer than it would in other similar-sized maps. Here’s how to fast travel in Dying Light 2 if you’re unsure.
How to Fast Travel in Dying Light 2
Dying Light 2’s parkour is super fun, and getting around quickly is made easy by a generally well-designed map that allows you to traverse smoothly. In combination with the paraglider you get later in the Downtown area, it’s not too strenuous to move long distances manually.
Still, as mentioned above, it can take a lot of time given how dense the world is. That’s where fast travel comes in handy; unfortunately, it isn’t unlocked until about 10 hours into the game when you arrive in Downtown. From then on you’ll discover that Metro Stations are used to move quickly from area to area.
There are a handful scattered around Downtown, and while some are available from the get-go, others require you to venture inside and activate manually by switching on several generators. Of course, these areas are typically full of zombies and renegades, so be prepared for a fight!
Once you have a fast travel location unlocked you simply open the map and select the location using the button prompt (as pictured above). You can fast travel from any location.
