Late last night, Paramount Pictures unveiled plans for its upcoming theatrical slate during its annual investor presentation. While we heard confirmation of a third Sonic the Hedgehog flick, we also received word that A Quiet Place 3 is currently in early development with its original creator, John Krasinski, attached to oversee and potentially direct the project, too.
It’s worth noting that this will be a different film to the A Quiet Place spinoff that’s also in the works from Pig director, Michael Sarnoski. Indeed, said spinoff is slated for a March 31, 2022 release date, while John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place 3 is locked in for a 2025 debut.
Not much is currently known about either of these aforementioned projects. However, we do know that Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce A Quiet Place 3, while Allyson Seeger is officially on board as Executive Producer.
Of course, A Quiet Place Part II was one of the first films to open in theaters during the pandemic. After several delays, the sequel managed to net an impressive 279M at the worldwide box office with an excellent 91% ‘Certified Fresh’ Rotten Tomatoes score to boot.
Much like the first duo of A Quiet Place films, it’s very likely that A Quiet Place 3 will receive an exclusive theatrical release, but that’s still up in the air at this point. As we hear more, we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop, though.
But tell us, what say you? Are you excited for A Quiet Place 3? Or do you think that the sci-fi horror series is beginning to run out of steam? Creep quietly down to the usual place below to let us know.
