Kinetic Games has been knocking it out of the park with its free content updates for Phasmophobia this year, and the team has released a new one for the holiday season as well. There are several new additions in this update, along with a strange new ghost type that has quickly been revealed to be the game’s take on Santa Claus.
Phasmophobia’s new update adds cursed possessions, where one out of six objects will randomly spawn when you enter a level. You can interact with them to potentially find new clues about the ghost’s identity, but you also run the risk of triggering a reaction from the ghost in the process. The ouija board is also now considered a cursed possession, and the patch notes warn that you need to say goodbye to the ghost before leaving, or else.
The Maple Campsite stage is also now decked out in holiday decorations, and will feature snowy weather for the duration of the holiday event. You can check out the full patch notes here.
Phasmophobia is now available on PC.
