It might not be the Persona 4 Golden or Persona 5 Switch port fans might have been hoping for, but hey, it’s something. During the Game Awards 2021 pre-show, Atlus and Sega had a surprise announcement for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and it’s set to be released for PC and the Nintendo Switch.

The game was originally released for PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2012, and it’s a 2D fighting game that sees the return of the Inaba Investigation Team as they dive back into the Shadow World to look into some strange happenings. We also see the return of some popular Persona 3 characters including Mitsuru, Yukari, Junpei, and Akihiko.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax features pretty robust fighting game mechanics, which shouldn’t be all that surprising considering it was developed by Arc System Works, and it also comes with a rather compelling narrative with a couple of new characters.

The game will be coming to PS4, Switch, and PC on March 17.
