A special Lapras-themed cafe will soon be opening for business for a limited time in Sendai, Japan. Lapras, a fan-favorite Water-type Pokemon, was chosen as the cafe’s mascot because it’s the ambassador Pokemon of Miyagi Prefecture, of which Sendai is the capital.

The cafe will offer a variety of Pokemon-themed menu items, and Lapras won’t be the only Pokemon featured; there will also be food with Pokemon designs such as Geodude and Chansey, which are the official Pokemon of the nearby Iwate and Fukushima Prefectures.

You can see some examples of what types of menu items can be ordered below.

As you can see, the type of food offered at this cafe not only looks amazing, but there is a wide variety offered, from seafood to curry to pancakes made with local ingredients.

If you want to visit the Lapras Cafe to try any of these menu items, you won’t want to delay your trip for too long; the cafe will only be open from December 16, 2021, through January 16, 2022. Reservations began on December 6 and can be made now for up to three days before you plan to go.

Even if you can’t make it to the Lapras Cafe in person, there’s no denying how adorable and creative the menu items are.

If you love the idea of this special gaming-themed cafe, you will definitely want to check out the Kirby Cafe that is also located in Japan and features equally as creative winter menu items based on the lovable pink character.

What Pokemon or other characters from a game would you want to see featured in their very own cafe next?
