How to Get Shaymin in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Just like in the original game, the only way to get Shaymin in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is by obtaining Oak’s Letter. This note comes as a Mystery Gift item at some point in the game.

At the moment, it is unknown exactly when that will occur. It does appear, though, that the steps to catch it will the same as in the originals. Once you have the letter, make sure you’ve also beaten the Sinnoh Champion and obtained the National Pokedex.

After getting the letter and Pokedex, head back to Victory Road. Near the end of the tunnel, head toward the entrance on the right-hand side that was previously blocked. Follow the path until you come upon Professor Oak standing in front of the Mirror Stone.

Shaymin will appear for a brief moment before running off. Follow it, and you’ll eventually find it in a flower field where you can battle and catch it.

Changing Mythical to Sky Form

If you want to change Shaymin from Mythical to Sky form, simply fly to Floaroma Town. Once there, speak to the blonde-haired lady in town and she’ll give you the Gracidea Flower. Use it on Shaymin and it’ll change from Mythical to Sky form.
