Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, the long-awaited Generation IV remakes, are out now. As you progress in the game, you might find yourself stuck and not sure how to get to your next destination, especially when there is some backtracking involved. One of these situations is when you need to make your way to Snowpoint City. Luckily, we’re here to help. Here’s how to get to Snowpoint City in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
How to Get to Snowpoint City
By the time you’re ready to head to Snowpoint City where the Snowpoint Gym is, it will be fairly late in the game. You need several HMs by this point in order to make it there; specifically, you’ll need Rock Smash, Strength, and Surf to get through all of the routes.
You’ll want to backtrack to Celestic Town first. You can fly there to make the trip quicker. From there, exit the town to the west, towards Route 211. Make sure your Pokemon are healed up and that you have brought plenty of healing items like potions and revives.
This route on the west exit will take you back to Mt. Coronet, which you visited earlier in the game. Follow along this path to get to Route 216 and then Route 217.
You’ll want to continue north through these routes. Fortunately, from there it is all linear; just keep following northbound until you get to Snowpoint City.
As mentioned earlier, you’ll need Rock Smash, Strength, and Surf to navigate through these areas and make it to the most northern part where the city lies. If you don’t have each of these HMs yet, then you aren’t ready to head to Snowpoint City and the Snowpoint Gym.
