To evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow, you’ll need to use a Dusk Stone on it. To do this, open your bag, select the Dusk Stone from it and then select the Murkrow in your Party.

This will cause a short evolution animation to immediately play out and you’ll now have a Honchkrow.

Getting a Dusk Stone in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Of course, the tricky part of evolving Murkrow into Honchkrow in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl here is actually getting a Dusk Stone. There are a few different locations you can obtain one, which we’ve noted below:

  • In the southwest corner of the basement of Wayward Cave as a hidden item.
  • In the northwest corner of Victory Road. Use strength to move the boulders to the north.
  • Speaking to the Team Galactic grunt outside Team Galactic’s HQ in Veilstone after beating Candice at the Snowpoint City Gym. He’ll give you the Storage Key which can then be used to get a Dusk Stone from inside.
  • Have a Pokemon like Parachisu in your Party that has the ‘Pickup’ ability. Make sure they’re not holding an item and they have a chance of picking up a Dusk Stone passively.

Getting Murkrow

Murkrow can be caught in both Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in the following locations:

  • Eterna Forest
  • Lost Tower (Floors 1-5)
  • Grassland Cave
  • Riverbank Cave
  • Rocky Cave
  • Still-Water Cavern
  • Sunlit Cavern
