Genshin Impact’s 2.3 update is going live on Nov. 24, so miHoYo has just released a new trailer alongside plenty of details on what to expect. Version 2.3 is bringing new characters, a rerun banner, a new world boss, and new events.
Version 2.3 is titled Shadows Amidst Snowstorms and that accurately describes the game’s return to the Dragonspine region where a new storyline involving Albedo and Eula will begin. And, of course, those two characters are the ones available in reruns.
The new characters being added are Geo users Arataki Itto and Gorou. Itto is a five-star claymore wielder, while Gorou is a four-star bow user. They should both come in handy when going up against the new Golden Wolflord world boss located on Inazuma’s Tsurumi Island.
If you’re worried about not being able to get the pulls you want on the 2.3 new banners, you might be happy to know that a new wish system is being implemented in Genshin Impact. Eula and Albedo’s banners will run at the same time and share a guaranteed wish count that’s independent of other banners.
That means if you pull for Albedo 70 times, then switch to Eula for the next 20, you have a 50% chance of getting her — or 100% if you’ve already missed her once.
Outside of the banners, there are new Dragonspine Training Challenges, Gorou and Beidou Hangout Events, a new five-star claymore and four-star sword, two new artifact sets, and even features for building snowmen.
