While there are options to change up the visuals for items and cards, you can’t actually personalize the look of each individual character in your party. This is because each character and item card has specific art on it. However, you can change the art entirely.

Select Options in the main menu, then head over to the Customize tab. From there, you’ll see the options to adjust the avatar, card faces, card backs, the Battle Board, table, dice, and background music.

You’ll unlock additional customization options under nearly every Customize menu category as you progress in the Voice of Cards story, but if you’re a fan of Yoko Taro and the Nier team, there are also Nier-related customization options for sale as DLC in the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and on Steam.

These Nier items include an Emil game piece to control, a Grimoire Weiss battle board for combat, Emil-themed dice and card backs, Devola’s music for the BGM, and even different crossover costume art for the main character cards.

Once you’ve decided which card and game piece customization options you want, simply select them to apply the changes.

That’s everything you need to know about how to customize cards and game pieces in Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars. Be sure to search Twinfinite for more tips and tricks for the game, including how to fast travel, how to heal, and more.
