New World: How to Revive Downed Players

new world revive

Developed and published by Amazon Games, New World is a pirate-themed MMORPG set in a fantastical world called Aeturnum. You’ll be able to take on a series of quests that task you with fighting the Corruption on the island, and you’ll also be able to join factions and go to war with other players in an effort to claim territory. You can attempt these quests solo, or join up with other players, which might be the better move as you’ll be able to help each other. Here’s how to revive downed players in New World.

Reviving Downed Players in New World

Death is pretty much inevitable in New World; you will eventually run into situations where you just can’t get out of a bad combat encounter and end up dying. While the consequences for dying aren’t all that terrible, it can be a pain, but the good news is that you can be revived if someone else is nearby.

After getting downed by an enemy or another player, a meter will show up at the top of the screen. If it gets depleted, you’ll have to respawn at a nearby settlement or your last campsite. However, if another player manages to reach you before the meter is depleted, they can revive you simply by pressing and holding the E key.

This is very helpful especially during Corruption runs where you’ll need all hands on deck to fight off the horde, or during quests that take you far away from the nearest shrine or settlement.

One other thing to note is that even when you’re downed, it’s possible for enemies and other players to hit you again to kill you instantly, so you’ll need to be revived fairly quickly if you want to continue playing.

Again, though, dying in New World isn’t the end of the world. Your weapons and armor will take a hit to durability, but aside from that, there’s no other cost to dying other than having to walk back to wherever you were doing your quest.

That’s all you need to know about how to revive downed players in New World. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
