Using Amiibo in Metroid Dread

If you have in your possession both the Samus and E.M.M.I amiibos, then things will be easier in Metroid Dread. Bring up the amiibo menu by tapping the – button, then scan the amiibo on the right Joy-Con. The Samus amiibo drops a permanent Energy Tank the first time you use it, and will restore up to 200 health with every subsequent use.

As for the E.M.M.I amiibo in Metroid Dread, it adds to your missile capacity the first time, and refill missiles for every use after. With these timely refills, it will definitely make your experience in the game a much smoother one.

However, there is a caveat. You are only meant to use these amiibos once per day. Of course, if you want to circumvent that restriction, you can do so as well. Simply change up the date and time of your Nintendo Switch, and you can repeat this process over and over again.

With the beneficial amiibo functionality in Metroid Dread and a way to constantly use it, no boss fights will be too hard. If you are looking to fully enjoy what the game brings to the table, then you are better off just relying on the amiibo intermittently.
