Ubisoft’s open world FPS, Far Cry 6, has finally arrived, allowing players to topple the Castillo regime once and for all. In this guide, we’ll run you through exactly how long Far Cry 6 takes to beat on an average playthrough, and explain how you can complete the game even faster thanks to a secret ending.

How Long Far Cry 6 Is

Far Cry 6 took us around 30 hours to beat. This involve us playing through the entirety of the story and taking on a fair amount of the side content, too, such as the Treasure Hunts which test your traversal skills, and the Yaran Stories which see you taking on quests for the eccentric and colorful characters who live across Yara.

We also dived into the Los Bandidos Operations, ticked off most of the FND Checkpoints and Bases, and did a spot of fishing and hunting here and there, too.

If you’re looking to make a beeline for the finish, then it is possible to finish the game in around the 25 hour mark, but this would be blazing through it and not really taking in everything the game has to offer. One of Twinfinite’s Staff Writers was able to accomplish this on a second playthrough, while I who reviewed the game found myself coming in closer to the 30-35 hour mark.

Is There a Short Secret Ending?

Why of course there is! In true Far Cry fashion, the latest entry includes a means of skipping out pretty much all of the actual game and skipping straight to the credits.

We’ve got a separate guide breaking down how you can do that here, but if you do choose to do it, you can finish Far Cry 6 in under 5 hours. We’d recommend checking this out at least once, just to enjoy the cutscene and so you can get the trophy/ achievement tied to it.

That’s everything you need to know on how long Far Cry 6 takes to beat. For more tips, tricks and guides, head over to our wiki, or see more of our coverage on the game below.
