As such, they find themselves in fights and boss fights quite a bit, managing to scrap their way out of every single one of them through a combination of luck and skill. After you escape Lady Hellbender’s vault and a gaggle of her goons, you’ll come face to face with her. Instead of fighting her, though, she sicks one of her favorite monsters on you, the Dweller-in-Darkness.

How to Defeat the Dweller-in-Darkness in Guardians of the Galaxy

In order to defeat this squid creature in Guardians of the Galaxy, you’re going to need to be patient. Dodge its attacks and wait for it to stagger, indicated by it glowing and coming within striking distance.

When staggered, use all of the special moves you have available. This will eventually cause it to slam its tentacles down in a water substance on either side of the battlefield. Press R1 to freeze them in place and do damage. You’ll eventually get a Trinagle/Y prompt that lets Gamora slice off its tentacle.

After you’ve done enough damage and fought off the adds in the final phase, another Triangle/Y button prompt will appear. Press it and Gamora will finish off the creature.
