One of the most enjoyable ways of getting around the country of Yara in Far Cry 6 is to use the Wingsuit. By using the ‘Air Drop’ option at various Fast Travel locations, you can get to pretty much anywhere around the map quickly. It’s also fun to just throw Dani Rojas off the sides of mountains and watch them gracefully glide their way down to safety. Unfortunately, the Far Cry 6 Wingsuit isn’t available to you right away, you’ll need to unlock it. Here’s what you need to know.
Getting a Wingsuit in Far Cry 6
To get a Wingsuit, you’ll need to buy the Hideout Network for one of your Guerilla Bases at the Construction Desk. This requires you to have reached the mainland of Yara after completing the missions on Isla Santuario and complete any of the following missions to unlock Guerrilla Camps:
- Meet the Monteros
- Meet Maximas Matanzas
- Meet the Legends
The Hideout Network will cost 30 Metal and 30 Gasolina from the Construction Desk, marked on your map with a green hammer icon.
As soon as you’ve purchased this, you’ll automatically unlock the Wingsuit in Far Cry 6 for you to use whenever you’re in the air.
Using the Wingsuit
To use the Wingsuit, when you’re in the air, you should see a prompt appear on-screen to press the L3 button on Xbox and PlayStation or Shift on PC.
Do so, and you’ll then be able to steer yourself through the skies and glide large distances.
Use the left analog stick to control how quickly you descend by moving it up and down to go faster and slow, and move it left and right to steer your way in one direction or another.
Before you reach the ground, make sure to pull your parachute by pressing B on Xbox or Circle on PS5. If you don’t, you’ll crash into the ground at high-speed, insta-killing yourself.
