Getting Gun Powder in Far Cry 6

Gun Powder can be found in FND Caches at military sites or stolen from military Supply Drops.

FND Caches are marked on your map with the FND rank icon in white, while the ‘Interception’ or Supply Drop missions will be a red radio icon on your map (just left of the yellow objective marked in our screenshot below). When you head to these supply drop missions, you’ll interact with a radio, which will cause a plume of yellow smoke to appear.

You then have a set time limit to get to the location, defeat the enemies there and claim the Supply Drop for yourself. Doing so will get you some Gun Powder in Far Cry 6.

FND Caches are more straightforward and are essentially hidden crates around the entirety of Yara, often close to FND Checkpoints or Bases. When you find one, simply open it up and you’ll have a chance of getting yourself some Gun Powder.

What Is Gun Powder Used For?

Gun Powder is a crafting ingredient used to upgrade your weapons. It’s also used to purchase upgrades for your fishing rod weirdly enough.

Essentially, you’ll need a lot of Gun Powder on your adventure if you’re going to be messing around with different weapon upgrades like ammo types, optical and muzzle attachments.

That’s everything you need to know on getting Gun Powder in Far Cry 6. For more tips, tricks and guides on the game, head over to our wiki, or see more of our coverage below.
