The cat options include orange/black/grey/brown solid, under, tabby, bicolor, bicolor tabby, siamese fawn/seal/flame, calico, calico dilute, torbie, torbie dilute, white, pitch black, american curl, scottish fold, chimera, halloween, lykoi, and ghost.
The dog options include lab yellow/black/chocolate, retriever cream/golden/red, german shepherd, german shepherd black, great dane, great dane black, husky, husky red, rottweiler, doberman, grey wolf, timber wolf, ghost, Halloween, and Scooby Doo.
It’s a great mod if you want your cat or dog to look just like your real-life furry friend.
Farm Onsen

After a long day of working on the farm, you deserve a nice rest in a Japanese onsen. This is a customizable hot spring mod that you can add onto an area on your farm, similar to the bathhouse but it’s right on your own property.
There are a few different onsen options to match the aesthetic of your current farm. Also, you can choose between wood and bamboo fencing.
One of the great parts of this one is that it’s compatible on both the PC and mobile versions of Stardew Valley.
Little Red School House

Stardew Valley is home to two children, Jas and Vincent, who Penny teaches. They don’t have a school to attend, though, so this mod adds a school house for them.
It starts off as a broken school house near the playground that can be fixed up after completing some tasks. Eventually, it turns into a school that the children can actually attend as part of their weekly schedules. You can also go inside it to see your hard work in action.
The best part? There is a class hamster, and his name is Russel. How adorable.
Cozy Starter Farmhouse

This next mod edits the first farmhouse’s shape to be cozier and gives it a small kitchen. The new layout has a separate kitchen and entry area as well as main room. The walls and floors can be customized with any type of wallpaper and flooring you choose to give it your own look.
If you already have furniture and decorations in your current farmhouse, it may need to be rearranged to fit this new layout so the items aren’t stuck in the walls. Luckily, all you have to do is pick them up to redecorate or just be sure to put furniture in storage before installing the mod.
Diverse Ginger Island
Best New Stardew Valley Mods September 2021
Many players were unhappy with how the story arc and characters of Ginger Island played into a stereotypical colonialist narrative. This mod by Emyn sets out to fix that.
The mod changes all Ginger Island characters to be from a small indigenous group, changing their sprites and portraits to display more ethnic diversity. It also changes dialogue and story ideas to limit how much colonialist ideas play out on the island. Some events have been rewritten to reflect this as well.

We absolutely adore this mod that turns your regular horse into a rainbow unicorn and lets you ride in style. This unicorn horse mod was made by a 9-year-old fan who edited every pixel one by one. Now, she wants the world to see her creation.
If you love this unicorn mod as much as we do, you’ll be glad to know that the artist is working on more mods to come in the future.
Seasonal Fireplace

If you want something a little different to replace the default fireplace in your farmhouse, check out this seasonal fireplace mod.
It replaces the default fireplace with a light stone version with a kettle and cauldron, but that’s not all. It also changes appearance with decor to match the current season. Whether it’s spring, summer, fall, or winter, your fireplace will match the correct seasonal aesthetic with no other decorating required.
Pride March
Best New Stardew Valley Mods September 2021
Finally, this last mod for the month is a Pride march mod by Emyn. It adds a small event on Summer 1 in which the residents of Stardew Valley take part in a Pride march in town.
Each resident is given Pride-themed leis and have unique dialogue for the day. The event only happens once, but every year on Summer 1 the residents wear their leis and have the unique dialogue from the year before. It’s a great way to add some community inclusiveness in your game.
