If you’ve been in the mood for a brand new fantasy TV show to fill the void, then Amazon Prime Video may have just the ticket for you. That’s right, not only does Jeff Bezos’s popular streaming service have a Lord Of The Rings adaptation in the works, but there’s also the fast-approaching release of its small-screen portrayal of Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson’s famous book series, The Wheel of Time.

While we haven’t had much of a glimpse of the upcoming TV show in action, we now have a freshly cut trailer showcasing the epic high fantasy world in all its magical glory. Go ahead and feast your eyes on the new video down below:

As you can see, the new footage is visually striking and boasts a world brimming with swords, sorcery and monsters. Accompanying the impressive visuals is a bombastic orchestral score that really nails that epic tone. Of course, fans of The Witcher and Game of Thrones may want to keep a close eye on this one.

Thankfully, if you’re looking forward to The Wheel of Time, you won’t have to wait too much longer now. Yes, a release date has been officially locked in, and the show is all set for a November 19 launch on Amazon Prime Video.

The series will be broken up into eight episodes and a second season has already been given the greenlight. Clearly, Amazon must be confident that the show will resonate well with fans of the source material and the fantasy genre as a whole.

Interestingly, the best-selling book series that the show is based on has sold over 90 million copies worldwide. Not too shabby, eh?
