Unlocking New Titles in Tales of Arise

To unlock new Titles, simply head over to the Skills tab in the menu or press Right on the D-Pad outside of battle to see which ones you currently have. In that section of the menu, some Titles will appear to be empty instead of showing any buffs or artes available to purchase.

Hovering over those blank Titles will let you know exactly how to unlock them. For example, an empty Title slot for Rinwell will say “cook ice cream.” Go to an inn or campsite and cook ice cream with Rinwell to unlock that specific Title.

Some Titles will unlock automatically as you progress through the story.

The game will let you know whenever you’ve completed an action that has unlocked a new Title. It’ll bring you directly to the Title menu right away.

Getting New Skills

Every Title you earn in Tales of Arise will automatically grant you one Skill that provides a new arte or passive buff. Then, you’ll be able to purchase four other Skills from that same Title using Skill Points (SP) earned from battle or completing quests.

You can also get new Skills by completing certain sub-quests or simply progressing through the story. New artes gained this way won’t show up under any Titles, but they’ll be added directly to your list in the Artes tab of the menu.
