Tales of Arise tells a story of rebellion against oppression, so it should come as no surprise that there are plenty of fights to get through. And you’ll need to know how to heal in order to survive them. Here’s how to heal your health in Tales of Arise.
Healing Your Health in Tales of Arise
Healing in Combat
There are a number of ways to regain health in Tales of Arise, both inside and outside of combat. During combat, primary healers like Shionne and Dohalim can use healing artes to heal party members.
Healing artes are special healing moves that consume Cure Points (CP). CP is shared by the entire party, so it’ll deplete no matter who is using the healing artes. Restore CP by using items or resting at inns or camps.
You can also heal during combat by consuming healing items like Gels. Press the touchpad on PlayStation or View button on Xbox to open the battle menu and select a healing item to use. Healing this way doesn’t consume CP.
Healing Outside of Combat
Healing items and healing artes can be used outside of combat as well in Tales of Arise. And if you open the menu, you can press Triangle/Y to recover health by using CP. The amount of CP you have left can be seen on the left side of the menu screen, and you can also check it by holding L2/LT when walking around the world.
If you don’t have any items or CP, or would rather save both, resting at an inn or campsite fully replenishes your HP and CP.
If your whole party gets wiped, the battle will end and CP will automatically be used to bring them back to life where you died.
In dungeons, there are also glowing spots on the ground called Healing Lights that fully restore HP and CP, but they disappear after being used, so be sure not to waste them accidentally.
