New World: How to Respec Stats

New World

Developed by Amazon Games, New World is a pirate-themed MMORPG that features a huge world to explore, along with factions to join, different economies to keep track of, and tons of materials and items to grind for. There are a few weapon types you can choose from in the game, too, and you’ll need to invest skill points into the relevant stats to wield them effectively. Here’s how to respec stats in New World.

Respec Stats in New World

The good news is that it’s extremely easy to respec your stats in New World. There are no set classes in this game, and you simply need to spend your points on the stats if you want to specialize in a specific weapon type. With how easy it is to respec, you can always try out other weapon types later on down the line if you want to.

To respec your character, press the K key to bring up the character menu, and you should see all the stats you’ve leveled so far. At the bottom of the menu, you’ll see a button that says Respec. Click that and confirm your selection, and you’ll be able to reassign all the skill points you’ve gained up to that point.

One important thing to note is that you can respec stats in New World as many times as you want for free before your character hits level 20. This gives you the opportunity to play around with a bunch of different weapon types before you settle on one that you want to focus on.

However, once you hit level 20 and beyond, it’ll cost you a bit of gold to respec each time. Gold isn’t terribly hard to come by as you get a ton of it through quest completion, salvaging items, and by selling items on the trading post. Even so, you should try to save as much as possible just in case you need to spend it in a hurry. Make use of the pre-level 20 period to experiment as much as you can, then save the respecs for when you really need it after you’ve gone past level 20.

That’s all you need to know about how to respec stats in New World. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
